Monday class at Oaklands

I have had to merge the kids and adults classes for a variety of reasons. I hope that this does not cause too many problems for people.
If there are any issues please let me know - there may be an opportunity to bring the lessons forward half an hour if they are too late for the kids - but you need to let me know otherwise I can't do anything about it.

Currently the class times are as follows:
7.00 - 8.00 mixed class
8.00 - 9.00 advanced class (invitation only)

Cost £3.50/£4 for one lesson £6 for 2

All students are welcome to attend any courses and events - you will not be out of place/left behind - new students are very important to the association.

Blackbelt gradings

Last few weeks folks!
You need to be getting your application forms signed and handed in now.
Having seen your katas recently - I would suggest the kata day on 13th March. - Take the hint!

Mixed martial arts

This is coming on well - don't forget about the groundwork and aiki jitsu course on June 13th.
If there are any instructors who need to take a grading in this please contact Sandy Newman who is co-ordinating.

Courses

To make students/parents aware again:
When course leaflets are handed out we understand that you want to book a place before you have the money - it is ok to give us the form without the money - but once the form is handed in you will be charged even if you do not turn up!

Attendance

It has been brought up at a recent instructor meeting that attendance is patchy for some people and tends to be better round gradings. As a result we are introducing a minimum session time in between gradings - starting April 1st.
For blue belts and under you will need a minimum of 12 sessions between gradings & for purple belts and above you will need a minimum of 24 sessions in between gradings. This will be checked at each grading by Sandy Newman and Tina King. So don't forget to bring your attendance book.

The time between gradings, as set out in the syllabus book, still applies.

Price increases

We aim to keep our prices as accessible as possible but it has been pointed out that there has been no increase in grading costs for 10 years and only a £1 increase in lesson fees. We are considering revising our pricing structure but need your feedback.

We are unable to accept friends who are under 13 so if you are please get your parents to be friends instead.

Happy birthday

I would like to take this opportunity to wish BB a very happy 40th birthday on March 5th & thank her for all her hard work over the last 10 years. Here's to the next 10!
